I'm mainly a lone wolf player so what turned me off was the fact that I pretty much HAD to group up in order to hunt tier 6/7/8 animals to skin them if I wanted to progress my skills. Again, I didn't dive too much into guild stuff so I don't know how often these happen but it definitely sounds dope as fuck. These transports will almost always go through PvP zones therefore you have a lot of players acting as lookouts and bodyguards against ambushers. On another note because of "localized" auction houses (sales restricted to whatever town/city the trade was listed in) you often see guilds or sometimes individual players transporting oxen full of goods from one hub to another. Much like the wilderness in RS, dying will result in you losing shit from your inventory. Some groups just straight do a wrecking ball crew where their loot comes from PKing fools who drop high tier gear. The gatherers do their thing while fighters act as bodyguards. Tier 5(?) or higher zones have PvP turned on so guilds usually group up to gather/hunt/kill to increase success rates and survival. I never got into guilds that deeply as I quit after a couple months so I'm not sure if it really is that rigid. The gatherers supply crafters, crafters supply fighters. So you'll have your gatherers (miners, skinners, woodcutters, etc), your crafters (weapons, armor, accessories), and your fighters (PvP/PvE focused). When you join a semi-hardcore guild, members are usually assigned a specialty. ![]() On the combat side of things, if you use daggers non-stop and specialize in them, you'll do more damage and have access to more abilities than another player who barely uses daggers. Your Warbows will be better and more sought after (player-driven economy) than another player's who hasn't spent as much time crafting them over and over. the more Warbows you craft the better you get at making them and that manifests as better stats. For example if you happen to enjoy crafting Warbows and gathering the materials to make them. There are dozens of things you can "specialize" in to get better at them. Played RS on and off for 8-10 years and honestly the closest game to it in my opinion is Albion Online. IF YOU SEND A MESSAGE TO THE MODS ABOUT A POST YOU MADE INCLUDE A LINK TO THAT POST.
