Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info. Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. The songs themselves are light jazz with a bit of chiptune techno and big band thrown in, very much like the waiting music in hospitals. "Plenty of medicine" (by honkstar82, ) Ī great little compilation of tunes from a crazy game! These are good easy-listening music, and when you hear them on an updated soundfont you can really appreciate all the work that was put into them.I am a real MOD fanatic (because of samples) but this is probably some of the best MIDI music you'll ever get. With an external samplebank, these tunes really sound awesome, and I enjoy them even outside the game. So I would recommend to listen it on at least a Roland Sound Canvas or better. Back in the days I played this game, I had a Roland keyboard for the music. I always liked the music of Theme Hospital, right from the start. Even considering that these come from a very old game and the authors probably didn't have decent resources by the time, it's really hard to listen to them when you're not actually playing the game. Taking these songs in comparison with the ones from Fable, for example, make it pretty clear how shallow they are. None of them seem to have real instruments, only "simmulations(?)of them (except, maybe, a piano) and the songs are quite empty. I'm not sure which authors composed wich musics, but considering that some of them were composed by Russel Shaw, they're quite dissapoiting. This is my first review for the first download i've done here and i thought i should contribute with the cause. ![]() Nothing will happen in the hospital unless you employ some staff.
